My beginnings of programming date back to the 90s of the last century.

Those were the times when the internet was just developing. Not everyone had access to it and the chosen ones, that had, connected to it using a device that made strange noises (modem). Web pages back then were mainly based on html, gifs and they had music playing in the background (sic!).

I started my adventure with web pages by learning HTML and CSS. Since then, it has become my passion, which I constantly develop and improve. Currently, I specialize in the so-called backend, mainly using PHP language.

Career

The course of my career can be summed up in a sentence „from zero to CTO”.

When I started my commercial work, I knew only the basics, which I mastered on my own. I reached the very top - that is, I became the CTO in the company where I started as a junior developer.

I will not go into details, but looking back over the years, I can see some features in myself that made such an achievement possible.
It is not knowledge of programming languages ​​or technologies.

Programming can be learned by almost anyone, but skills such as thinking and learning stand out from the rest. These two skills combined with passion give a solid mix - doomed to succeed.

Who am I?

If I had to describe myself in one sentence, I am a person who „gets shit done” :)

If you ask me what has been introduced in the latest version of PHP, I will not answer you, but if I have to do a project, be sure that it will be made at the highest level.

I'm a firm believer that unless you can easily explain something to a 6-year-old, you don't know the subject well. This approach applies to everything, so understanding the project and its requirements is very important to me.

Why Coaching?

Often when I'm about to start something, I ask myself: "Why?".

Why this movie? Why this project? Why this hobby?
The answers may be different: just because, for money, because it's my passion.

What does this question give me?
First of all, if I am unable to answer it, it is a signal to me that maybe it is not worth taking this action at all.
But if I have an answer, I wonder, "Is it satisfactory to me?" For me, that is for my values ​​and for the person I aspire to be.

When it comes to "simple" topics, maybe there is nothing to dwell on. However, if it concerns our job, family, health, I think it's woth it.

The concept of "Start with Why", and at the same time the title of the book, was introduced by Simon Sinek (If you are interested in this topic, you can find his lecture on youtube, highly recommended)

So Why Coaching?

My response is: "I want to change people's lives for the better and help them unleash their full potential".

It may sound lofty, but these are my values ​​on which I rely.

Coaching has always reminded me of online "motivators" who shout "you can do it!", "you are a winner!".
In short, this format does not particularly convince me.

While researching the subject, I became convinced that coaching is something completely different, deeper. In the right hands, it can do a lot of good.

I don't have a lot of experience in this field (yet ;) ) - I have just received a diploma in Executive Coaching from the global coaching organization AoEC.
